BSDM KYP Courses: Eligibility, Exam, Admission, Scope & Jobs

BSDM stands for Bihar Skill Development Mission. It is an initiative created by the Government of Bihar. The main aim of this initiative is to provide vocational training to students in Bihar.

 

KYP stands for Kushal Yuva Programme. It is an important part of BSDM. KYP has been made keeping the needs of young job-seekers in Bihar. Also check – Vocational courses in India.

 

‘Skill Development’ is the main aim of KYP. It targets people belonging to 15-25 years age group. 10th pass candidates may make use of this scheme and acquire skills, which will help them get employed!

 

KYP has been implemented to bring a revolution in the field of skill development. Through this program, the Government aims to create a skilled work force in Bihar. These skills will help them get employment. In short, this scheme will help keep unemployment rate in the state under check! Also check – IGNOU certificate courses.

Eligibility Criteria

All Candidates belonging to the age group of 15-25 years (Age limit for SC/ST, OBC & People with Disabilities is as follows: SC/ST – 30 years, OBC – 28 years, PwD – 30 years),, who have minimum qualification as 10th pass; irrespective of the fact that the candidate is pursuing /completed any Higher Education Course/Degree will be eligible to undertake training under “Kushal Yuva Program”. Apart from the above all those youth of 20-25 age group who have opted for and have been sanctioned for self-help allowance, have to compulsorily complete this training.

 

About this program

The main aim of this program is – Skill Development. Through this program, the Government of Bihar wants to keep the rate of unemployment under check!

 

The program is aimed at training students who have passed 10th standard (or possessing higher qualifications). The program trains students in three main areas –

  • Life Skills
  • Communication Skills
  • Computer Skills and Literacy

Certification

Candidates who successfully complete the KYP training are given certification. This certification is given after they pass the final examination.

 

Fees

A security deposit must be paid while enrolling for KYP training. The amount is 1000 INR. This deposit is returned to your bank account after you complete KYP training successfully (pass the final exam).
