Polytechnic Colleges in Odisha are recognized by the AICTE. Thus, according to the law, certain percentage of seats in each college in Odisha must be kept aside for TFW candidates.
Government Polytechnic colleges in Odisha are known to charge relatively lower tuition fees. In short, they are quite affordable for large sections of the society. But Private colleges are known to charge relatively higher fees. This makes them relatively expensive.

- This scheme is limited to domicile candidates who are permanent residents of Odisha. Students hailing from other states are not eligible to seek benefit of TFW scheme.
- Only the tuition fees is waived off under this scheme. It doesn’t cover other expense such as – hostel and lodging, food, library, sports, transportation, exam fees etc.
- How may seats are reserved under this scheme, you may ask. 5% of the sanctioned intake per course will be available for admissions under TFW scheme.
Eligibility criteria for TFW scheme
In order to be considered eligible for this scheme, you must be the son or daughter of parents whose annual income is less than 6,00,000 INR.
