A Polytechnic college is an institute that offers different types of Diploma programs. State Governments across India have been establishing Polytechnics with the aim of imparting industry-specific skills and knowledge in students.

There are two types of Polytechnic colleges in Delhi. They are –

  • Government colleges
  • Self Financed colleges

 

Government colleges are funded and operated by the State Government. The Government bears much of the expenses. This is the main reason why these institutes charge very low fees.

 

Self Financed colleges are managed and operated by trusts or educational organizations/bodies. They charge relatively higher fees. But most of these institutes provide scholarships to deserving candidates though.
