Odisha DET 2020 Online Application process
Step 1 – Register Online
The first step is to register online. A candidate can register online by visiting the portal – dteodisha.gov.in. This website is managed by the Directorate of Technical Education, Odisha. This portal is the front through which interested candidates may register for the polytechnic admission 2020.
On the specified date, you may access the website and find an option labeled ‘Diploma/Polytechnic’. Click on the link and you will be taken to a new page.
The new page will have an option named – CANDIDATE REGISTRATION. Click on it to start the registration process.
For successfully registering your name, you will need the following things –
- Valid mobile number
- Valid e-mail address
What’s the registration process like, you may ask. As part of this process, you must enter your name, mobile number and e-main id in the specified fields.
An OTP will be sent to the specified mobile number in order to verify it. After verifying his/her mobile number, a candidate can set a desired password. Remember this fact – your mobile number is your username.
Step 2 – Logging in
After registration, candidates may log in and fill up the application form. How to log in, you may ask.
Visit the dteodisha.gov.in portal. Click on ‘Diploma/Polytechnic’ tab. You will find an option for REGISTERED APPLICANTS SIGN IN AND APPLY. Click on it and you will be taken to the log in page.
Enter your mobile number (username) and password that you set while registering. Click on sign in.
Step 3 – Fill application form online
After logging in successfully, a candidate may start filling the application form. The form requires you to enter the following types of details –
- Details of the applicant
- Personal details
- Address and contact details
- Marks secured (subject-wise) in 10th board exam
- Domicile details
- Reservation details (if applicable)
- Tuition Fee Waiver scheme particulars (if eligible)
Candidates should carefully go through the form and enter the details wherever necessary. Make sure that you enter the correct details. Only go for reservation or TSW scheme if you think you are eligible. Because you’ll need to provide relevant documents to prove your claim. Unable to do so while document verification will invite unwanted trouble.
The next step is to upload scanned image specimen. Here are the details –
Step 4 – Uploading scanned images
After filling up the form, candidates must upload scanned images of one’s color photograph and signature specimen.
The scanned image of candidate’s color photograph should be within 100 KB size. Similarly, scanned image of candidate’s signature specimen should be within 30 KB size.
After uploading required images, one may proceed to the last stage – paying application fees.
Step 5 – Pay application fees online
Online payment gateways have made paying application fees an easy task. Candidates may pay fees online through means such as – Debit card/Credit card/Net Banking. Choose a suitable method and pay the specified sum online.
After completing payment process, one may take printout of the application form for future reference and use.
