Eligibility criteria

  • Bachelor’s Degree courses can usually be pursued after completing 10+2 Science stream schooling (with PCB subjects).
  • Diploma courses can be pursued after 10+2 or 10th. It really depends upon the institute and the type of course offered.
  • Certificate courses can usually be pursued after completing 10th or 12th.

Eligibility criteria usually changes from one institute to another and it also depends on the nature of the course. Readers must give special attention to requirements and criteria set by the respective institutes.

Duration of the course

Bachelor’s Degree Allied Health Sciences programs: Most of the allied health care programs last for a period of 4 years (including internship period). Some of these courses even last for 4.5-5 years. On the other hand, courses like B.Sc. Physician Assistant & B.Sc. Psychology lasts for a period of just 3 years.

Paramedical courses (Diploma): Diploma paramedical courses usually last for a period of three years (for 10th passed applicants).

Paramedical certification programs: Usually, a certification program could last anywhere between 6 to 12 months.

While securing admission, give special admission to the ‘eligibility criteria’. I’ve noticed that eligibility criteria varies from one institute to another!
