Sailor recruitment: How to apply?

Advertisements for Sailor recruitment are published on Indian Navy’s website and leading NEWS papers on December/January and June/July each year.

For the term 2024, you may find advertisements on December 2023, January 2024, June 2024, July 2024 and December 2024. Once you see the advertisement, visit the joinindiannavy.gov.in website and download the application form. You may also check – Indian Navy Matric recruitment.

A candidate is supposed to apply for one job post at a time. While filling up the form, a candidate must clearly indicate the entry/job post that he is applying for.

The filled up application form has to be sent to appropriate address (mentioned in the advertisements). Application must be sent by ordinary post only. Applications sent via speed post, courier etc will be rejected!

The authorities will shortlist applicants based on the marks scored by them in board exams (10th or 12th). Shortlisted candidates will be able to download call letter cum admit card from joinindiannavy.gov.in website.

Sailor recruitment: Selection process

The selection process consists of stages such as –

Written exam
Screening test
PFT (Physical Fitness Test)
Medical test

Note: Selection process varies from one entry to another. For example – screening test is only meant for Musician (MR) candidates. Screening test is used to gauge their musical ability.
