COVID 19 pandemic has had a huge impact on education sector in India. Due to the spread of COVID 19 in various states across India, the Government has stepped in and shut down almost all of the educational institutes across India (schools, colleges and universities).

Updates on 1 April, 2020

CBSE has announced that it will directly promote students till 8th class to the next level directly. In order to promote students of 9th and 11th classes, it will rely on internal assessment. In short, for students belonging to these classes, there won’t be final exams this time!

 

CBSE has not yet announced the revised dates or schedules for pending board papers though. They will announce their plan of action in the coming days.

CBSE has announced that it won’t conduct any of the pending exams in 25 countries affected by the corona virus.

Fake news is being circulated about UP board exams across social media, few blogs and instant messaging platforms. Readers shouldn’t fall prey to such news. They should instead keep a close eye on the official website of UP education board and entertain official notifications only.

 

Updates on 5th April, 2020

CBSE has announced that it is working on an alternative academic schedule for the classes 1st to 12th. This alternative schedule will rely on technology to facilitate learning process.

 

Maharashtra CET has extended the last date of application. Many candidates have not been able to submit their application for due to the ongoing lock down. Keeping the needs of such candidates in mind, the CET CELL has extended last date of application for many exams.
